In 2014, the Talent Board, a non-profit organization, conducted the 4th annual North American Candidate Experience Awards (CandE Awards) to recognize companies for setting a high standard for how they engage and treat employment candidates. 2014 surpassed the previous years’ programs with an unbelievable response from more than 170 companies registering and more than 95,000 candidates responding to our survey.
Attending our Awards Announcement and Reception in September this year, were over 250 people, including the heads of Talent Acquisition and their teams for most of our 62 winners. In addition, we also held our inaugural Candidate Experience Symposium with again, approximately 200 individuals attending. Libby Sartain, noted HR and Talent speaker and advisor, delivered the keynote address and Sue Meisinger, columnist, speaker and former president and CEO of SHRM, moderated our panel of “Winners with Distinction. Additional panel discussions included many current and multi-year winners of the CandE Awards.
For those unfamiliar with the CandE Awards, it is annual competition process where:
- Employers have the opportunity to benchmark their candidate experience against that of other companies
- Employers have the opportunity to participate in a 3rd party survey of their employment candidates to see what their candidates really think of their process
The CandE Award process is a competition, but it is also designed to provide every organization that chooses to participate, confidential and specific data to help them determine how they can improve their candidate experience. There is no cost to the employer, only time spent to complete the registration and the survey. The 2014 program is now completed and registration for the 2015 program is expected to open in February. The results of the 2014 NAM Candidate Experience Survey will be available in early 2015.
The CandE Awards are also currently in process for the third year in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Their Awards Announcement and Reception will be held in February 2015. To find out more about the Awards there, click the United Kingdom button above.
In 2015 Talent Board hopes to expand the reach of the program to include Australia and perhaps New Zealand. Discussions are currently under way to identify the leaders for the program as well as sponsors.
The United Kingdom programme will also be expanding to several countries in Europe and the Nordics (based on their interest) for their 2015 awards. Country representatives and additional sponsors are being sought to help manage this growth.
If you are a vendor seeking to support these efforts in any of the regions, please complete this form, and someone from Talent Board will respond.
